塘陂村在石鼓镇西面，辖12个村民小组，村名来自张氏定居时村口东面的一块碑，“碑”与“陂”谐音[1][2]。

名称由来[edit]

张氏迁来定居时，村门口东边有一块碑，当地读音“碑”与“陂”相近，村便叫塘陂[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1958至1959年与深埇合并为塘陂大队，1960年分开，塘陂仍为大队；此后1983年成塘陂乡，1986年成管理区，1999年起称塘陂村民委员会[1]。

人口与经济[edit]

据百度百科，村域面积2.8平方千米，人口4759人，主要种水稻，农村经济总收入6565万元[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，塘陂村获2021年广东省卫生村称号；2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单[1]。
