名称由来[edit]
相传村子东北有一座多石的石狗头山，山下的垌中有河，河岸田垌的南面有一座小山坡伸向村后，从山上看下去像一条槽，因而叫石曹。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
石曹从前归新垌公社的新德乡，1960年建大队时转入云潭公社，队名沿用自然村名石曹；1983年起称石曹乡，1986年又变为农村管理区，1999年定名为石曹村民委员会，此名用到现在。[1]
