云潭社区属广东省茂名市高州市云潭镇的镇中心社区，镇政府驻在这里。[1]社区名称取自当地一处形似云朵的水潭。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

云潭社区的前身是1950年设立的云潭乡，随后依次改为云潭公社（1959年）、云潭区（1983年），1986年11月28日再改为云潭镇。[1]居民委员会成立于1990年，起初叫高州市云潭镇居民委员会，后改称云潭社区居民委员会。[1]

百度百科记载，社区辖区面积2.5平方千米，户籍人口1631人（该词条未注明年份），经济以厂房、店铺出租为主，建有农贸市场，并推行“居民点单、党员接单”的服务方式。[2]2019年9月，云潭社区入选「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
