种植的作物主要是荔枝、龙眼、水稻、四季豆、花生、蕃薯。发展思路为：以农业、养殖业为主，种植四季豆，也养猪、养鸡、养鱼，劳务输出比重较大。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1953年时叫望夫乡；1958年时叫望夫生产大队；1983年又叫望夫乡；1987年时叫望夫村委会；1989年时叫望夫管理区；1999年起叫望夫村委会；沿用至今。[1]
