长岐镇在广东省湛江市吴川市北部，东邻兰石镇，南接梅菉街道，西连樟铺镇，北面与化州市和吴川的浅水镇相交，辖区面积60.6平方千米，镇政府设在朝阳路1号[1]。下辖下仓1个社区和14个行政村[1][2]。镇域西临鉴江，梅化公路贯穿全境，向北通广湛高速公路出口，有吴川“北大门”之称[3]。

历史沿革[edit]

据百度百科和博雅地名网，1950年此地归梅茂县岭尾乡；两年后成为吴川县第一区；1958年设长岐公社，1961年一度称区，1963年又改回公社。1975年，公社东北一部分划出，另立浅水公社。1983年再改称区，1987年至1994年之间建镇，名长岐镇[1][2]。

地理环境[edit]

长岐镇位于鉴江下游东岸一带，在吴川与化州交界处，南面紧接吴川市区，北面是广湛高速公路出口；博雅地名网称镇政府距湛江40公里、距茂名20余公里[3]。气候属南亚热带季风气候[1]。

人口[edit]

百度百科记载，2019年末全镇户籍人口93484人[1]；第七次全国人口普查（2020年）统计的人口为5.87万人，在吴川市各街道、乡镇中列第8位[2]。博雅地名网概况文章另称全镇人口7.8万，未注明年份[3]。

经济[edit]

百度百科记载，到2019年10月，全镇的社会生产总值为20.676亿元（增15.17%），其中农业总产值4.728亿元、工业总产值3.18亿元；固定资产投资为2.242亿元，本级公共财政预算的收入为181.93万元[1]。

博雅地名网概况说，镇里形成了肖山、流滩、多曹几个工业小区，以羽绒、毛骨粉、木制品和塑料制品为主；农业方面，蔬菜外运、甜玉米、苏村蕃薯、禽畜与淡水养殖合称五大商品农业基地，耕地约6.5万亩[3]。苏村番薯在2014年10月经原国家质检总局批准列为地理标志保护产品[5]。

名胜古迹[edit]

良村中心小学内的张氏宗祠，建于1553年，是1945年1月李一鸣大队抗日武装起义的指挥部旧址。1942年，李雨山（共产党员）出任三民乡乡长，借祠堂开办三民乡中心小学，接纳南路特委撤出的党员和积极分子隐蔽任教；1944年夏，吴梅特派员黄明德也把中共的领导机关迁来。1945年1月16日，队伍就在这里宣布起义，19日编入南路人民抗日解放军，番号是第二支队第四大队[4]。祠堂于2003年12月列为吴川市文物保护单位，2013年11月又成为湛江市的中共党史教育基地[4]。详见良村。

2024年3月，长岐镇获命名「2023年广东省卫生乡镇」[2]。
