解放社区是广东省湛江市吴川市梅菉街道下辖的社区。名称来历：居委会原设在解放路，因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这里最早在1979年设居委会，之后在1983年易名管理区，至1999年又叫回居委会。[1]

概况[edit]

解放社区成立于1979年，在吴川市区中心，面积约2平方千米，总人口23600人，设7个居民小组，是吴川市人口最多的社区。[1][2]

吴川市委党校、吴川一中、港丰购物中心等单位和企业在辖区内，解放路是粤西的商业街。[2] 社区2006年被评为广东省「六好」平安和谐社区。[2]

2019年9月，该社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
