埔西村是广东省湛江市雷州市附城镇辖下的行政村，区划代码440882117207。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名来历：相传村前是南渡河，先民以捕鱼为生，船只多，形成港埠，村名初作「大埠」，后改写「大浦」，再写作「大埔」。大埔分中、南、西、北四村，村委会设在大埔西村，故名埔西。[1]
沿革：以下由近及远：1999年设置村民委员会；1987年起分设置埔西管理区；1983年至1987年与埔中合设置大埔小乡；1965年至1978年与埔中合设置大埔大队；1960年至1964年设置大埔西大队；1955年至1959年隶属于大浦大队；民国至1955年隶属于龙头大队。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，该村列入广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
