东港在2016年前只是后洪村委会下的一个自然村，这一年从后洪划出，另立东港村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，东港村被列为「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」；2026年3月获认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]
