历史沿革[edit]

名称来历：居委会驻地在雷州古城的南部，故称城南。[1] 沿革：1956至1957年为雷城行政区行所，设第七街和城南村委；1958至1963年建附城人民公社城南生产大队，1977年称雷城城南生产大队，1980年设城南行政管理区，2007年设城南社区居民委员会。[1]

2019年9月，该社区列入广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
