历史沿革[edit]
名称来历：居委会驻地在雷州古城的中部，处于城墙之内，故称城内。[1] 沿革：1956年是高级社，到1961年分为北一、北二两个大区；1963年改设城内大队，1984年成立管理区办事处，1987年2月称村委会，1989年定名城内管理区。2007年起为现在的社区居民委员会。[1]
2019年9月，该社区列入广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
城内镇中东路有陈清端公家庙，年代为清，2019年4月19日公布为第九批广东省文物保护单位。[2]
