地名与沿革[edit]

相传最早到此居住的人希望能长期留居，便以「留村」为名。[1]在1950至1959年间，这里隶属同留乡政府。1960年分出后叫留村大队，设在井口垌村，1975年搬到光岭村，就是今天的驻地。此后几次改称：1983年留村乡，1987年管理区，1999年定为留村村委会。[1]
