石角是湛江市廉江市石角镇的镇中心区，设石角社区居委会，位于镇的西北部，北面与广西陆川县古城镇的盘龙村委会相邻。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

名称来历：当地石头很多，故称石角圩，社区驻地在圩内。[3]行政名称几经变化：1953年称石角乡，1958年称石角大队，1983年复称石角乡，1986年设石角居委会，1989年称石角管理区，2011年起为石角社区居委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

东接石东村，南接曲江村，西接横石村。总面积2.5平方千米，其中耕地约0.34平方千米、林地约0.70平方千米、鱼塘约0.02平方千米。[2]下属自然村共9条，有白沙塘、旺峰岭、谭佰营等。[2]

人口与经济[edit]
