龙平大队设于1958年，1983年称乡，1987年称管理区，1999年起为村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

2021年9月，广东省农业农村厅公布「第二批广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」名单，龙平村榜上有名，特色产业为黄皮。[1]
