黄竹垌村是廉江市新民镇的行政村，辖山头岭、菜垌、油麻岭、栏塘村、黄竹垌村等15条自然村；村民约4320人，耕地3214亩，种外运菜、水果和稻谷。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

原名“望粥洞村”，村民嫌它不雅，改用谐音的“黄竹垌”。[1]1950年至1957年，栏塘、荔枝根等村各设一乡；1958年两处合并设黄竹垌大队；1983年设乡，1987年为管理区，1999年成为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
