鸡笼塘村是廉江市新民镇的行政村，辖狗咬铺、边河、鸡笼铺、山背、大涌等16条自然村；村民约3295人，耕地2668亩，种水果，兼营水产养殖和牧草养牛。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据说村中从前有一口圆形鱼塘，村民绕塘而居，样子像鸡笼，村名由此而来。[1]1958年为鸡笼塘大队，隶新民公社；1983年改乡，1987年为管理区，1999年成为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单；2020年8月，与朗塘村一同以荔枝入选「首批广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」。[1]
