历史沿革[edit]
村子地势较高，取秋高气爽之意叫高街，后来分为上高街、下高街，村委会设在下高街。[1]1950年属新塘连防区；1953年为高街乡；1958年为高街大队，隶新民公社；1987年为管理区，1999年成为村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
