山寮村是廉江市城南街道所辖的行政村，属城乡结合区。相传先人开基时在山上搭草寮居住，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年后属官埇乡，1958年从官埇乡分出，称山寮大队；1987年改称山寮管理区，1998年迁到南屯村西北角约300米的现址，1999年改设村委会。原属石城镇，2004年5月撤廉城镇、设街道后归城南街道。[1]
概况[edit]
全村分10条自然村，编17个村民小组，约4800人。土地3000余亩，山岭占其中1000余亩，耕地2000余亩。种的主要是水稻和蔬菜；廉江大道两侧辟有长约十里的工业开发区，进驻多家规模以上企业。[1]
荣誉[edit]
山寮村在2019年9月被列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；湛江市2020年度文明村名单（2021年1月公布）中也有该村。[1]
