新南社区是广东省湛江市廉江市罗州街道辖下的社区，1991年2月成立。原新兴管理区按位置分成新北、新中、新南三个居委会，新南社区由此得名[1][3]。

地理与社会[edit]

社区东至黎湛铁路，西到中山二路，南临廉江河，北靠人民大道东路。辖区内有梁屋地、韭菜园两个城中村，15个居民小组，还有罗州中学、市第五小学、市第二人民医院、供电局、民政局和全市最大的工业品市场、汽车总站等[2]。简介称总户数5964户、总人口13445人（未注明年份）；商业网点主要沿着环市东路、新兴路、中山二路以及工业品市场分布[2]。2004年5月廉城镇撤销、设街道后，社区归罗州街道管辖[1]。2019年9月，新南社区入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单[1]。
