博雅地名网称，村名寄托着靠“元（钱）”发展的愿望。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，这里成立元发渔业大队。1985年大队改称元发乡，次年乡又改成村委会；1989年改叫管理区，1999年成立村民委员会，直至现在。[1]
