江洪社区在湛江市遂溪县江洪镇的中心，镇人民政府就设在这里，社区因此沿用了镇名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
社区的前身是1950年建立的江洪乡。三年后组织初级农业合作社，1955年升格为高级社。1958年乡的建制让位于大队，进入八十年代后，名称几经更替：1983年叫管理区，1986年叫居委会，1989年又回到管理区，1999年再改居民委员会，至2002年定名江洪社区居民委员会，一直如此。[1]
荣誉[edit]
在广东省农业农村厅2020年8月公布的首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单中，江洪社区以鱼干产业入选。[1]
