名称来历：办事处靠近遂溪火车站，由此得名。[1]

建制变迁：1998年以前归城东管理区管辖，1999年体制调整后从中分出，统一编制命名为火车站居民委员会，2002年起称火车站社区居民委员会。[1]

近年的荣誉与称号如下。[1]

  • 「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」。[1]
