历史沿革[edit]
清代属鹤山县古劳都，民国时属一区；1958年称越塘大队，1983年称越塘乡，1986年称越塘管理区，1998年称村委会，2007年起属沙坪街道。[1]
经济[edit]
村属两级经济，集体收入主要来自厂房出租，村民收入靠出租和务农；自留用地共180亩，另有1800平方米商铺。[1][2] 2023年村内引入面积4000平方米的光伏项目，并把中邦广场升级为商业综合体。[2]
村内出租屋较多，外来人口占比达70%；作为鹤山社区警务改革试点，村里建了警网融合工作站，2023年总警情同比下降27.1%。[2]
文化与荣誉[edit]
村内有三世祖祠堂、青云书院和望楼牌坊等历史建筑；传统节日有农历二月十三的洪圣诞、八月十五的舞火龙和九月初九的敬老日；冯庚长狮艺在村里传承。[1][2] 平圣村的龙溪冯公祠为第五批文物保护单位，2019年4月19日公布。[1]
2017年10月，村获第一批广东省卫生村称号；2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
