蕉园村在开平市大沙镇的东部，村委会距镇政府不到1公里，下设7个村民小组，以村内蕉园自然村得名。[1]近年作为省「百千万工程」典型村，推进人居环境整治和高标准农田改造。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代时归恩平县静德都，民国年间和新中国成立初期划入恩平县第六区。[1]1961年起成为开平县大沙公社辖下的蕉园大队；1984年改设蕉园乡人民政府，1987年称蕉园管理区，1999年起为蕉园村民委员会。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

博雅地名网所录村情记人口2025人、506户，耕地1350亩，未注明统计年份。[1]据2025年11月的报道，村里通过垦造水田项目整合、流转耕地1350亩，把260多块小田连成高标准农田，用智慧生产方式种植水稻；各自然村都已完成「三清三拆三整治」，生活污水处理率达100%。[2]

2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局把蕉园村列入2021年度乡村治理示范村的创建单位；2023年5月，所属的下间村获广东省爱卫会授予2022年广东省卫生村；2026年1月，蕉园村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
