星山村在开平市大沙镇的西南部，村委会距镇政府4公里，下辖14个自然村、15个村民小组。[1]村名取自红山、红星两个大队合并时各用的一字。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1963年大沙公社把1961年设立的24个大队合并为12个，红山、红星两队合为星山大队，后来改队为村，仍用此名。[1]此前，清代时归恩平县长居都，民国年间和新中国成立初期划入恩平县第七区。[1]1984年改设星山乡人民政府，1987年称星山管理区，1999年起为星山村民委员会。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

博雅地名网所录村情记全村总人口2471人、522户，耕地1290亩，并说因地处偏僻、交通不便而经济较落后；村情未注明统计年份。[1]2020年8月，星山村入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，产业为皇帝柑。[1]
