塘底村是广东省台山市端芬镇西部的行政村，离端芬圩约8千米，与墩寨村相邻，隔着河与西廓、那泰两村相望，村委会设在塘底大桥西头。[1][2]

按端芬镇人民政府2026年的介绍，全村面积7.48平方千米，15条自然村编为11个村民小组；户籍449户、1773人，而常住的只有194户、420人，多数村民不在村里居住。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

地名资料说，村边有一口大水塘，村名「塘底」由此得来，村委会也因设在塘底村而沿用这个名字。[2]

清代这里归矬峒都，民国时期属吉昌乡。二十世纪五十年代，塘底是西廓乡、西廓大队的一部分；1957年办农业社时，塘底脱离西廓自行组社，次年11月社改为大队。1983年8月25日设塘底乡，1987年1月成立村民委员会，1988年9月起称管理区，1998年11月又恢复村民委员会。[3]

2019年9月，塘底村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[2] 据镇政府介绍，村「两委」由党支部书记兼任村委会主任，村党支部有党员39名。[1]

地理环境[edit]

塘底村地处半丘陵、半山区，耕地共2776亩，水田2212亩，其余564亩为岗地。[1][3] 1990年5月塘底大桥建成后，桥的两头盖起了铺位，开了饮食店，村里也挖了鱼塘。[3]

经济[edit]

农作物以稻谷为主，此外还种甘蔗、花生和番薯、芋头、木薯等；畜禽养殖有生猪和鸡、鸭、鹅。[1] 早年地名资料记载，全村480户、1736人，靠桥边铺位出租和鱼塘取得了一定收入，并办有小学、卫生站和老人之家。[3]
