朱村，行政区划上称朱村村，位于双水镇西北部，距双水圩1公里，村内朱姓居民较其他姓氏多，因而得名。[1] 2004年，由泮河、伍村、济堂三个村合并成立朱村村民委员会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

相传南宋景炎年间（1276年—1278年），朱姓先祖从今台山市迁来，称朱村。[1] 宋末元初（1271年—1294年），李、陆等姓陆续从邻近的小冈迁入，合成一村，叫泮河。[1] 同一时期，伍村的先祖也从今台山迁来，后来伍姓迁走，刘、梁、侯、叶、李、陈、黄、胡等姓迁入，但「伍村」之名没有变。[1] 明正德年间（1506年—1521年），谭姓先祖从本镇上凌迁来，立济堂村。[1]

经济[edit]

全村设19个村民小组，面积4.8平方千米，有997户、3008人，人均收入5080元；耕地约3691亩，鱼塘1081亩，水稻2610亩。[1] 2023年5月，村内的石西村获广东省爱卫会授予2022年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
