沙路村在双水镇南面，距双水圩镇8公里，村子建在沙脊之上，又像一条路，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明万历年间（1573年—1619年），梁、温、崔等姓先祖先后来这里落户，清康熙年间的县志已有沙路村和沙路圩。[1] 民国时属第七区的富路乡，解放初改设沙路乡，1955年划入崖西区；1958年归双水人民公社，称沙路管理区，之后改称大队、乡。[1] 2004年沙路与沙口渔业村委会合并，原沙口成为村里的一个村民小组；此前的1999年5月已定名沙路村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

亩水库濠冲渡槽架在村里的稻田上空，1975年动工，1977年6月启用，用来把附近万亩水库的水送到村里灌溉农田。[1]

经济[edit]

村域面积约4.5平方千米，下辖15个村民小组，有1124户、3541人，耕地4095亩，包括水稻2793亩、鱼塘852亩、山林450亩。[1] 集体经济收入约40万元（2008年）。[1] 村子位于银洲湖纸业基地一带，镇里的规划强调以工业带动乡村发展。[2] 2019年9月沙路村列入民主法治示范村创建单位名单；2023年5月，村内的加里村又获广东省爱卫会授予2022年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
