楼墩村在双水镇东南部，距圩镇5公里，位于木江河的出口，四面环水。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

河中积起一块块小陆地，像在流动的墩，村子原名「流墩」，后来取谐音改为「楼墩」。[1] 清顺治年间（1644年—1661年），林姓先祖从罗坑石咀迁来定居；康熙县志已记有流墩村，属泷水都十二图，道光县志称村里有卢、林、黄三姓。[1] 民国时属第七区达仁乡，1951年至1957年属基背乡，1961年单设楼墩大队，1984年改乡，1987年称村委会，1999年起仍用此名。[1]

经济[edit]

村内设7个村民小组，面积2.8平方千米，有340户、1130人（男452人，女678人），耕地1826亩，其中旱地590亩、水稻741亩、鱼塘495亩。[1] 2008年人均收入4600元，集体收入15万元以上。[1] 2026年3月，楼墩村被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
