塘河村在双水镇南部，离双水圩5.1公里，西面有小河环绕，东南是高低不平的洼地，村民在洼地养鱼，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武年间（1368年—1398年），张姓先祖从沙富村迁来立村。[1] 明万历县志已有塘河甲、塘河村，清代属泷水都七图。[1] 民国时属第七区天塔乡；1950年代先后并入龙山乡、沙岗乡，1958年单设塘河管理区，其后经历大队、乡、村委会等名称，1999年复称塘河村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村里设17个村民小组，村域面积3.9平方千米，有865户、2879人，耕地1789亩。[1] 村集体经济收入36万元，人均收入4250元（2007年）。[1] 2023年5月，村内的东胜村获广东省爱卫会授予2022年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
