历史沿革[edit]
南宋嘉泰年间（1201年—1204年），张姓先祖从开平的沙岗迁来立村。[1] 明万历县志已有凌涌村，清康熙县志作上、下凌（涌）冲村；民国时有东凌下村，属第七区双凌乡。[1] 1951年立东凌乡；1957年划归天亭乡，到1958年设东凌管理区；1961年一度分为东凌、松岭两个大队，1984年重新合并，1999年设东凌村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村庄面积4.5平方千米，下设12个村民小组，951户、2867人，另有常住外来人口约1000人；山地多达8000亩，另有耕地1292亩、鱼塘937亩。[1] 2007年村委会的集体经济纯收入为94万元。[1] 2026年1月，东凌村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
