龙脊村是双水镇南部的行政村，距双水圩约3公里；村庄狭长弯曲，形似龙脊，故名。[1] 村里以种植水稻、甘蔗、香蕉和养鱼为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明永乐年间（1403年—1424年），潘姓先祖从南海来此，陈、阮等姓先祖也分别自罗坑、石咀、陈冲、潭冈迁来立村。[1] 清康熙年间的县志已记有「龙脊新村」，道光县志称村里有林、陈、潘三姓。[1] 清代属泷水都八图，民国时归第七区双水乡；1958年划入木江管理区，1959年单设龙脊大队，其后几经改称，1999年起称龙脊村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

全村9个村民小组，603户，约1828人，耕地2018亩，其中水稻1164亩、鱼塘522亩。[1] 近年村里发展生态旅游，创建了江门市旅游示范村。[2] 2023年5月，村内的东升村获广东省爱卫会授予2022年广东省卫生村称号；2026年1月又获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
