小冈社区是江门市新会区双水镇下辖的社区，居委会设在小冈圩，位于潭江下游一带。[1] 2002年以前这里是独立的小冈镇，并入双水镇后居委会改称社区居委会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

名称与地貌有关：这一带早先是汪洋，有些小山丘露出水面，后来泥沙淤积成陆，所以叫小冈。[1] 明万历年间的县志里已有「小冈圩」，后来「小冈」成了一片地区的总称，民国时是一个大乡的名字。[1]

居委会的前身可追溯到1961年成立的小冈人民公社，它从罗坑人民公社分出，驻地在小冈圩；1987年改置小冈镇，此后圩镇管理区、居委会的名称几经更换，2002年小冈镇并入双水镇。[1]

文化[edit]

小冈香是当地的传统手工艺，制作技艺在2013年列入广东省第五批省级非物质文化遗产名录。[2] 小冈社区还在2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
