地名由来[edit]
明代此地建有一座贡生庙，后称九乡庙。南面杨梅一带也有九个村，为了区别，居北的九乡称“上九”。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年属高丰公社，曾称新农大队；1983年为上九乡，1997年改称上九村民委员会，属西南街道；2008年云东海街道办事处成立后划归云东海街道。[1]
经济[edit]
村内依托云东海国家湿地公园和佛北战新产业园，以“运动健康”为特色发展。村里累计建成「四小园」一百多个，8个自然村全部验收合格，2024年又获评三水区「星绿美乡村」；洞溪村以企业赞助、村民自筹、政府出资三方合力，改造了上百间农房外立面。[2]
占地29.5亩的鱼悦陶醉项目在建，计划集水上露营、船屋景观于一体；足球青训基地已建成标准球场和7人制球场。村集体成立投资开发公司，通过结对共建年增收约50万元。[2]2024年8月，上九村列入佛山市“百千万工程”第二批典型镇村名单。[1]
