西山农村是南澳县后宅镇的行政村，在南澳岛西北部，背山面海，下分三个自然村，辖区共2.98平方公里。村后的山远看像卧在沙滩上的狮子，旧称狮阁，“狮”与“西”谐音，村以山为名[1][3]。

历史沿革[edit]

1953年盐、农分社，这里以农业为主，称西山农村。1979年恢复西山农业生产大队，后改管理区，1998年改名西山农村委会；2005年农、盐并为西山村委会，2017年分设，成立西山农村民委员会[1]。

经济[edit]

全村1440人、368户，分十个村民小组；耕地450亩，林地2600亩，海域养殖区3000亩，果林场300亩。2008年工农业总产值3600万元，人均3633元，集体资产总额730万元[2]。村里建有南澳县第一个村级公园奕阁公园[2]。

荣誉[edit]

该页提到：2006年获汕头市“固本强基”先进党支部，2007年获广东省“五个好”村党组织，2009年被汕头市评为文明村[2]。2019年9月，该村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」之中[1]。
