南光村是南澳县后宅镇的盐业村，位于中兴路升南花园北侧。“南光”寓意南澳盐业从此见光明[1][3]。据博雅地名网，全村305户，1002人，生产方式以耙盐为主，盐埕面积3000多公亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

南光是南澳盐业的主要产地。村里1950年3月先成立盐会，1952年改称盐业分会，1959年办盐业社，隶盐业公社；1979年起归后宅公社，1985年2月隶属南澳县盐场；1986年设村委会，1998年改称南光村民委员会[2]。

党建与荣誉[edit]

村党支部有党员51人。2008至2009年，村与汕头市环保局结对共建，并多次被评为文明村[1]。2019年9月，该村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」之中[1]。
