城北社区是南澳县后宅镇县城区的居民社区，名称来自居民主要聚居在后宅镇北部[1][2]。据博雅地名网，辖区分四个地段，有1864户、5673人[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

城北的前身同样是1961年的居民大队。1965年国务院批准建后宅镇时，北部居民编为第二居委会；1982年起设城北街道办事处，1986年改为现名城北社区居民委员会[1]。

社区工作与荣誉[edit]

社区内设有警务室、劳动保障服务站、家政服务中心和人民调解组织。南澳县委在2001年7月授予它先进基层党组织，2006年3月汕头市评它为平安和谐先进社区，2007年6月又得广东省“六好”平安和谐社区的称号[1]。
