上巷村是汕头市澄海区莲上镇的行政村，处在镇集镇中心，国道324线从村中穿过，距澄海城区不远。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

庆元年间（南宋），祖上来自福建莆田的李玄（行十一）由苏湾都仙市里，即今溪南镇仙市村，迁居此处，开垦田地，接纳漳、泉一带流寓的各姓村民，并调解纷争，人们称他住的巷子为「李和巷」。巷子以南后来又形成下彭村，相对而言李和巷叫作上巷，遂成村名。[1]

1953年上巷同竹林、兰苑并为竹林乡，1984年1月设上巷乡，1986年11月设上巷村，1990年设管理区，1998年9月起称上巷村。[3]

经济[edit]

据村概况，全村588户、2479人，耕地968亩，其中常年种菜455亩；工业区250亩，有60多家企业，塑料二料加工销售成规模，向澄海的塑料玩具业供应原料。[2] 国道两侧建有8幢商住楼，设铺间102个。[2] 2020年起该村连续列入淘宝村名单。[1]
