历史沿革[edit]
相传杜十郎从福建莆田入潮，几经迁徙到洲头创村，其子孙再分衍到南洋中社，即今兰苑。[3] 1937年与前溪四片合称兰溪乡，1953年与上巷、竹林合为竹林乡，1998年9月设兰苑村。[3]
经济[edit]
据村概况，兰苑村户籍934户，4034人；土地1356亩，水稻种植面积为656亩。[2] 约三成农户种菜、养鱼和养鹅鸭；1993年以来开发工业用地235亩，30多家企业落户，产品涉及建筑管桩、造纸、瓦楞板、玩具和塑料加工等，2009年工业总产值2.78亿元。[2] 2020年起列入淘宝村名单，2022年1月被广东省乡村振兴局定为2021年度广东省乡村治理示范村的创建单位。[1]
