历史沿革[edit]
村因地处偏僻、交通不便，俗称内底，后来雅称里美。[1] 相传明朝中期这里已有村落，后遭灾害和瘟疫，全村覆没成为废墟；清康熙年间（约1676年前后），蔡、黄两姓先人从福建莆田迁来重新开基。[2]
1953年与南徽合为南徽乡，1986年11月从南徽乡分出，设里美村，1998年9月起称里美村。[3]
人口与经济[edit]
据村概况，2009年全村138户、560人，有土地200亩，其中水田120亩。[2] 1993年村集体筹资并得海内外乡亲资助，兴建里美华侨学校，2003年因生源少并入南徽村的有德小学。[2] 2026年3月，里美村被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内的报福寺坐西向东，1984年重修，香客游人逐渐增多。[2]
