历史沿革[edit]
清光绪二十二年（1896年），竹林村绅士李鹤琴等人招募饶平、潮安、澄海一带的李姓农民来此租地垦荒，建起新村，称李厝新乡；1901年建李氏大宗祠。[1][2] 1922年「八二」风灾，海潮倒灌，据村概况记载溺死791人，李氏大宗祠等210多间房屋倒塌。[2] 1937年重建宗祠并设「盛德」学堂，村名取昌盛之意，加上北临河洲，改称盛洲。[1][2]
1953年设盛洲乡，1984年1月设盛洲乡属莲上区，1986年11月设盛洲村，1998年9月起沿称盛洲村。[3]
经济[edit]
村民旧时以种养为生，辅以抽纱、刺绣，1958至1976年大规模平整土地。1980年后部分村民办起南金加工、食品加工、腌制和塑料玩具等私营企业。[2] 2010年全村4852人、1088户，耕地1858亩。[2] 2020年起列入淘宝村名单，2018年为广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
