金浦街道在汕头市潮阳区，处练江北岸，是潮阳城区西面的一片近郊，东邻文光街道，西接和平镇，北面隔小北山与河溪镇相望，南隔练江对着潮南区井都镇。辖区面积约44.17平方千米，办事处设在三堡社区，下辖1个社区、4个行政村。[1][3]

当地早先叫深浦，清乾隆年间改称金浦。这里是潮汕郑氏金浦系的祖地，清代的郑之侨即出自此地。[4][5][6]

历史沿革[edit]

金浦地势北高南低，南面低洼近水，古时称近水之处为浦，故名深浦。相传清乾隆年间乡中有位通五行的郑姓人，认为邻乡梅花属木、深浦属水，水生木，于本乡不利，遂将深浦改为金浦；另一说法是由本乡人、宝庆府知府郑之侨倡议改名。[3][4][5]

民国初年改都为区，金浦隶潮阳县第一区。1956年立金浦乡；1958年9月与棉城镇并成红潮公社，次年4月又单独设金浦公社，范围即今日辖区。1983年改称金浦区，1986年改为金浦镇。[3][4]

金浦镇改设街道办事处的时间，百度百科记为1996年，博雅地名网和维基百科记为1994年（博雅地名网具体到11月）。[1][2][3]2003年1月潮阳撤市设区，金浦街道属潮阳区。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

辖区土地总面积约4416.6公顷，北靠小北山，南临练江，国道324线从境内通过，长约7公里。属亚热带海洋性气候，历年平均气温21.7℃，年降雨量约1550毫米。[3][4]1971年曾围海滩约426.7公顷造田。[4]

人口[edit]

2020年11月1日零时，常住人口88963人。[1]2009年的统计为：户籍人口82763人，农业户籍占77811人，外来暂住者约一万人。[4]

经济[edit]

2020年，全街道工业总产值为130514万元，11家规上企业占126254万元；固定资产投资117339万元；本级工商税收6057万元。[1]

据2009年前后的介绍，街道经济由农业转向以轻工业为主，行业涉及纸品、文具、型材、烟草薄片、服装毛织、电子和油漆，建筑队伍有三百多支；甘薯加工所产「白雪薯粉」外销，蔬菜、水产、家禽和水果供应潮阳城区。[4]

姓氏宗族[edit]

金浦是郑氏金浦系的祖地，该系为潮阳郑氏三大支系之一。据百度百科，始祖郑昇于南宋绍兴十五年（1145年）自福建莆田回潮，卜居金浦，后裔分居二百多个村落。[6]三堡社区的材料则称，南宋宝庆至景定年间（1225—1264年）郑氏先祖到此定居，起名深浦村。[7]

著名人物[edit]

郑之侨（1707—1784）出自金浦乡，字茂云，号东里，乾隆二年（1737年）中进士，历任江西铅山知县、宝庆知府，官至湖广安襄郧兵备道，所著《六经图》收入《四库全书》，其府第今存。[5]博雅地名网另列有周福霖、郭予元、范上达、唐希灿等中国工程院院士为金浦街道相关人物。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

明代的马平田墓在梅西村蔡八岭下，属古墓葬，汕头市于2010年3月22日将其列为市级文物保护单位。[3]
