南门村是汕头市潮阳区金浦街道的行政村，在潮阳城区以西约5公里，国道324线穿过村境。村域面积7.77平方公里，耕地2630亩，山地4000亩，居民14093人，划为四片，共32个村民小组（据博雅地名网，未注明年份）。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
村名因位于金浦村之南而来。[1]明清至民国初，先属兴练都，后属附廓都。此后名称屡变：1949年南门村（金浦乡辖）、1953年南门乡、1958年南门大队、1986年南门村委会、1991年管理区办事处，1994年随金浦镇改街道而属金浦街道，1999年定为村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村里经营蔬菜基地和塭田香蕉、鱼池，并有家具、化工、制漆等企业。[2]2020年8月，南门村入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（蔬菜）；2020、2021、2022年连续上榜淘宝村名单；2026年3月又获认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
历史[edit]
村里设有潮、普、惠南交通联络点，由郑希主持创建，被广东省认定为解放战争时期的革命据点。[2]
