赤隆社区是广东省汕头市濠江区达濠街道辖下的社区居委会，位于达濠三乡的中心地带，是涉农社区，外来人口占多数。原先主管赤港的农业大队，取「赤农」的谐音而得名赤隆。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1980年赤港大队拆分，其中的农业大队渐成赤隆居委会的前身，先后称赤农管理区、赤农村委会。1995年7月14日，达濠区人民政府行文批准赤农管理区改名为赤隆管理区；1999年6月撤管理区，设赤隆居委会；2003年起属濠江区达濠街道。[3]

人口民族[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区本地人口1676人，现只把新发展区域作为管辖范围，辖区人口约6000人，混居的赤港居民与此界限难分。[2]

经济[edit]

社区拥有约40亩土地和约1000亩山林，土地大多已用作建设用地，经济转向第三产业；现有商铺二百余间，厂房两万余平方米，工业企业20家，集体资产5000多万元；1995年起村民按股份分红。[2]2018年7月，司法部、民政部将赤隆社区表彰为第七批全国民主法治示范村（社区）。[1]
