历史沿革[edit]
清康熙五十六年（1717年），朝廷派员在踏头筑「达濠城」，市面兴旺，达头埠、赤港、青林三个聚落遂合称「达濠三乡」，日久房屋相连成一镇，达埠之名由此而来，不过本地人和附近居民平日仍习惯叫它达濠。[1][3]
原达农管理区在1995年7月改名达埠管理区，1999年6月又撤去管理区、立达埠居委会；2003年起属濠江区达濠街道。[3]

据博雅地名网，社区有1583户、5599人，可耕地约607.5亩，林地5003亩，下属山寮水库有工作人员14人。[2]
经济[edit]
社区内有工业企业10家，其中规模企业5家；集体收入主要来自企业的场地租金、土地承包费，以及历年的征地款和合建商铺的承包款。[2]2022年1月，省乡村振兴局把社区列为乡村治理示范村的创建单位（2021年度）；2026年3月又被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
