达濠社区是广东省汕头市濠江区达濠街道辖下的社区居委会，辖区内有达濠古城。社区全是居民，有2929户、13093人，分东秀、南美、西濠、北安、中兴五个片区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，元代初年欧、胡等姓先在象山南麓定居，后来佘、叶、翁等姓也迁入，聚落向濠江岸边延伸，称「踏头埔」；「踏」与「达」谐音，清初起称达濠。[1]宋末（1279年）此地已渐有人烟。[2]

1949年归潮阳县达濠区的达濠镇，其后在1957年立达濠村、1959年立达濠大队；1983年12月达濠镇一分为二，设立达濠居委会，属达濠街道；1987年设达濠管理区，1999年6月撤管理区、设居委会，2003年起属濠江区。[2]

地理环境[edit]

社区北面是狮山和象山，山南有古刹西山古寺；南面的达濠古城，是市级文物保护的古迹。东面的水流源于三界岭，经东门外坑汇入竹排坑后入濠江，西面的水流自狮山经虎石铺入濠江。[1]
