社区因所辖为月季园住宅区而得名。[1]早期隶属金园区东厦街道，2003年3月改归金平区金厦街道，2019年划入金东街道。[1]
地理环境[edit]
西起石月路，东至百花北一巷，北抵金凤东路，南邻百花路，面积0.05平方千米，辖5个居民小组。[1]
