万安社区在汕头老城区，隶属金平区小公园街道，设立时归海安街道。辖区面积约0.11平方千米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

万安街穿过辖区，社区因街得名。[1]

此前归升平区万安街道管辖；2002年1月，由原打石、打锡、万安三个居委会合并为万安居委会，其后在2003年3月的区划调整中划入海安街道。[1]2019年，新福、永祥、海安、同益四个街道并入新设的小公园街道，社区随之改隶。[2]

社区概况[edit]

辖区内有汕头开埠博物馆、市佛教协会、市纺织品公司，医药化工是主要工业。永平酒楼是汕头市文物保护单位；海平路97号的「中共中央至中央苏区秘密交通线汕头交通中站旧址」和外马路的汕头邮政总局旧址，也在社区附近。[1]
