新潮社区在汕头老城区，隶属金平区小公园街道，设立时归永祥街道。辖区面积约0.1平方千米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

名称来自辖区内较有名气的新潮兴街。[1]

2002年1月，原仁和、德里、吉安三个居委会合并成立新潮居委会，其后在2003年3月的区划调整中划入金平区永祥街道。[1]2019年，新福、永祥、海安、同益四个街道并入新设的小公园街道，社区随之改隶。[2]
