马西是汕头市金平区岐山街道的社区，处在汕头市北郊城乡交界处，名称来自马西巷[1][2]。

人口与经济[edit]

简介记载户籍人口930人、220户，外来暂住者约1500人。1993年土地被统一征用，居民户籍从农业转为非农业。辖区企业五十多家，2009年工业总产值与商贸额合计超过3亿元；集体年收入约200万元，居民人均收入5800元，每人每年从集体分得1200元。2008年初经联社修改章程，社员的股份按人确定并固定下来[2]。

公共设施[edit]

集体出钱扩建了小学，村路全部硬底化，又建排污沟、市场、公厕、停车场，架路灯50盏，办起敬老院和老人活动场所，改建老渔池；自来水与农电的改造也由集体出资，使水电与城区同价[2]。
