中宫是汕头市金平区岐山街道的社区，东邻寨头，西连南楼，南面是护堤公路，北面是潮汕公路，面积约0.9平方公里，岐山街道办事处便设在此地[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

村子夹在南楼与寨头之间，起初叫“中社”；村里有一座岐山的古庙，名“龙尾爷宫”，村名后来变成“中宫”[1][2]。这里是韩江三角洲的沙冲积地。简介说，北宋时就有人来搭草棚，打鱼、煮盐、挖海蛎为生；之后从福建莆田和鸥汀一带迁来的陈姓人家渐渐聚居成村，至今仍以陈姓为主[2]。1998年12月，原中岐居委会撤销，分设南楼、中宫、寨头、沟湖四个居委会[3]。

经济与人口[edit]

居委会以出租土地、厂房和招引企业为主要收入来源。按简介的2009年数字，村内有42家工厂、43间商铺，共有居民1768人；经联社的集体经济年入约120万元，人均年收入4031元[2]。
